Adding Images to Content Pages / Secondary Content
A single image or multiple images can be added to content pages. The images can be resized, but they cannot be text-wrapped.
However, images can be inserted into tables (created in a word processing program and pasted into the Main Content Page text editing pane), giving the illusion of text-wrap.
Login to the Content Management System: http://foresthills.edu/login.aspx
Select School Building Management.
Select your school.
Under 'Actions/Activites', select Content Pages
Between the Main Content Window and the Secondary Content, there is an area with:
Attachment:
Secondary Content:
Click the Browse button, and locate the image you want to insert into the Main Content Window.
SAVE
Click on the Existing file link. The image will open in its own window.
Drag / drop the image to the Main Content Window or the Secondary Content Window.
Click / drag one of the white handles to resize the image.
SAVE
Notes: If the image is not where you want it, you can click it (to get the handles), then cut and paste it where you want it.
To delete the image, click past it and delete it. (Highlighting the image and deleting doesn't work.)
Adding Multiple Images to Content Pages / Secondary Content
More than one image can be added to a content page.
Once an image has been added, you will see Existing file next to Attachment:
Click the check box in front of Remove File and SAVE.
Repeat the bulleted steps above for each image you want to add.
Remove each image before adding the next one.
Copy / Paste Tables for the Illusion of Text-Wrap
10/05/07: Since the SchoolPointe Upgrade, I've noticed that they now have button for adding tables. I'm going to keep the directions posted below because I like the look of no-line tables.
Tables without pictures can be created in a word-processing program such as MSWord, then copied and pasted into the Main Content Window. Images can then be inserted into the cells following the directions above. If the table / cell borders and shading are set to no color, the cell borders are not visible and give the illusion of text-wrap. Of course, that makes it a little difficult to guess where the images belong!
I've also created a table with 1 row / 2 columns when multiple images were desired, but did not have to align to particular text. I inserted the images one under another in one of the cells. (seeFifth Grade / Social Studies / Great Americans)
NOTE: When creating the table, set the font to Arial, size 10. SchoolPointe seems to be having trouble converting text within a table to Arial, size 10, to match the rest of the page.
